Life is a Cinch 3

I kept telling myself that I should update my blog but the previous weeks were pretty busy and messy so, I never really had the chance. I don’t know, really. It’s just so chaotic. Also these days, I watch a lot of movies, I don’t know why. Maybe, one aspect of being a late bloomer coz I’m not usually the type but I don’t know… Is this a sign of something not good? I hope not. I am happy, you know. I’m convinced that I am happy. Or just nothing. Yeah, more like it. Anyway, I just finished watching “The Fault in Our Stars” and it made my eyes water, a little.  I’ve strongly decided that I must write something today. As in now. I feel like it’s just timely to write something about it. Despite all the chaos, mess, nega eks, we have to consistently be reminded of the good things and be positive every.single.damn.time.

So, here is the Part 3 of some thoughts to live by to living a simpler, better, happier life. Credits to 2013 Belle de Jour Power Planner.

Be aware of your negative thoughts, and replace them with positive thoughts. There are many times when you feel like giving up, and if you don’t catch these negative thoughts in time, they’ll fester and grow until you actually do give up.

Instead, learn to focus on the positive. Think about how great you feel. Think about how other people have done this, and so can you. Think about how good it will feel when you accomplish what you’re trying to do.

Also, learn to see the positive in just about any situation. This results in happiness. In my experience, as you don’t focus on the bad parts of your life, but on the good things. Be thankful for what you’ve been given.

No matter how much structure we create in our lives, no matter how many good habits we build, there will always be things that we cannot control — and if we let them, these things can be a huge source of anger, frustration, and stress.

The simple solution: learn to go with the flow.

What is going with the flow? It’s rolling with the punches. It’s accepting change without getting angry or frustrated. It’s taking what life gives you, rather than trying to mold life to be exactly as you want it to be.

Accept that the world is constantly changing, and we are a part of that change. Try seeing the world as perfect the way it is. It’s messy, chaotic, painful… and completely perfect. The world is beautiful, just as it is. Life is not something static, but a flow of change, never staying the same, always getting messier and more chaotic, always beautiful.

Have you said thank you to someone to show how grateful you are for them today? It’s such a small thing, but it can have a huge impact on your life, and the life of that person.

Can you imagine a world where everyone showed gratitude? If someone did  you a kindness, you’d give them a warm smile and say thank you. If you were having a bad day, someone else would take time out of her life to comfort you; out of gratitude for a kindness, you did her yesterday. People would still get angry, or sad, but would know to find ways to be grateful, even in difficult situations.

So, find little ways to incorporate gratitude in your life, and you’ll be much happier… and you’ll make the people around you much happier as well. That’ll have a ripple effect that will make the world a better place with such a small gesture!

Thanks for reading. Have a fantastic weekend. Cheers!.
